The Production Manager is a hands-on manager of all extrusion operational processes from start to finish in the plant. The manager works with the plant shift leaders / Supervisors and staffing to manage operations and achieve assigned production and operational goals; maintain a safe working environment, produce product to expected quality levels and to SOP’s (SOP development), scheduling to meet customer expectations and timely job close details. This position holds the opportunity for succession planning advancement.
On time, defect free, and inspection ready.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1 Work with top management to:
· Establish corporate goals.
· Prioritize capital expenditures.
· Evaluate results and implement changes to meet goals.

This position is: minimally supervised.
This is a management level position with the expectation of a higher level of responsibility and is independent of supervision except when reporting to and taking requests directly from the President or VP of Innovation in the Presidents absence.
SUPERVISION:
This position has responsibility for work direction of other employees, distributing work to others, reviewing others’ work, training new employees, and/or making specific work assignments:
Extrusion Production Employees.
PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION:
This position has an expectation of specified results. Results will be monitored by methods appropriate for the measurement:
Performance verification:
· Scrap rate, resin efficiency, customer returns and complaints, financial profitability numbers, employee turnover, capacity utilization, corrective actions, safety violations, quality of product, packaging, labeling, and quantities.
· Accuracy and timeliness of reports, measurements, and files.

This position has the potential of direct contact with all company clients, vendors, and the public on a regular basis.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
These are the particular working conditions associated with this position that should be noted (i.e., working environment, hours of work, travel, workspace, etc.):
· Production area is not climate controlled.
· Office is provided but this is a hands-on position for the extrusion operations.
· Minimum travel required, but visits to customers, vendors, etc. will be needed.
· Additional hours may be required to solve problems, conduct meetings, or perform job duties dependent on the production schedule for all shifts.
