BioSpyder Technologies Inc. is a USA based company that has developed a novel product for targeted sequencing called TempO-Seq™, a gene expression profiling tool designed to monitor hundreds to thousands of genes at once in high throughput. TempO-Seq can analyze expression in samples with thousands of cells or from single cells without pre-amplification, maximizing utilization of precious or limited samples. TempO-Seq assays deliver an easy-to-use solution for customers doing expression profiling for any species.
Role:
The Lab Supervisor (Manufacturing/Quality/Service/Support dept.) will be a part of a highly motivated team focused on supporting novel products for targeted sequencing. A desire for constant learning is critical due to our operations team being the hands-on subject matter experts for our operations department, processing customer requests for manufacturing various products, completing service projects, and providing valuable troubleshooting insight. The Lab Supervisor is also expected to provide vital process improvement recommendations in the areas of safety, quality, and efficiency while upholding the company’s values of teamwork and accountability. The Lab Supervisor will split their time approximately 70/30 percent between Operations and Lab Supervisor duties. Lab Supervisor duties include inventory management, equipment calibration, lab sanitation compliance and lab waste arrangements, and other lab management duties.
Responsibilities (Include but not limited to):
- Processing and executing customer requests in a timely manner
- Manufacturing reagents, completing service projects, and maintaining lab inventory
- Providing SME insight during troubleshooting and general meetings
- Prioritizing safety and quality in all processes performed
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lab environment
- Identifying, proposing, and executing process improvements on processes related to
- Effectively interacting with our Research department to facilitate the transfer of products into circulation
- Managing inventory, submitting POs as needed to maintain certain levels of stock
- Maintaining and restocking lab supplies in all departments as needed
- Ensuring equipment calibration by keeping records and contacting vendors
- Hazardous Waste Disposal
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 3-5 years lab experience
- 1-3 years ISO/FDA Certified Lab
- 1-3 years of leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree in Bioscience, Masters preferred
