Purchasing Buyer

We partner with providers to take a complete approach to healthier aging through patient-specific bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and the only nutraceutical line created specifically to support hormone health.

We are currently looking for a Purchasing Buyer to join our team based out of our Irving, TX HQ.

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Buyer/Analyst is responsible for the purchasing of materials and services to support Biote. Maintains procurement records, such as, materials or services purchased, costs, delivery, and inventories and analyzes procurement data to anticipate supply chain events and identify trends to consistently meet product or service requirements.

Essential Functions

• Purchases materials and general supplies using approved suppliers and in accordance with all applicable internal policies and procedures to ensure goods and services are properly secured with emphasis on quality, customer service and cost reduction.
• Communicates purchase order and delivery information to Biote staff and departments.
• Facilitate the Advanced Shipment Notification process to ensure all inbound shipments have filed ASNs in place.
• Communicates potential issues with delivery dates, rejected material, replacement material, expedited orders and documentation to the appropriate departments.
• Coordinates and makes the necessary arrangements for processing discrepant supplied items and material and makes the proper disposition on rejected items.
• Performs follow-up on orders and expedite supplier deliveries.
• Maintains and updates procurement systems and databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Supports the procurement team with purchase order creation, contract management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Analyzes procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Generates and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance metrics, and procurement KPIs.
• Assists in evaluating and managing supplier performance, including conducting supplier reviews and audits.
• Reviews and maintains accuracy of purchasing records.
• Represents Biote in an ethical and professional manner.
• Works closely with Accounts Payable and Business Owners to reconcile problems associated with three-way match transactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field is preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Purchasing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have exceptional organization and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of procurement analysis.
• Effectively manages change, is flexible, makes timely quality decisions.
• Experience with procurement software and systems (e.g., ProcureDesk P2P, SAGE Intacct, or other ERP systems) experience a plus.
• Able to effectively handle multi-task and changing levels of responsibilities.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills to be able to provide timely feedback and communicate appropriately with other departments.
• Energetic and self-motivated team player/builder.
• Knowledge of procurement.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook).
• Project experience on cross functional teams.
