What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nanny/Mother's Helper position at Birch Nannies?
Mother’s Helper/Nanny in New Canaan
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm
Pay: $40 per hour and guaranteed hours. Benefits include paid vacation weeks, personal/sick days, federal holidays paid and off. Nanny vehicle provided for on-duty hours and travel would be a great bonus but is not mandatory. Additional hours are available for date nights.
Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found. Long term position.
Children: 18mo. boy and 3yo boy. Happy and healthy boys! They are the types of kiddos who will be your new best friend if you play with them.
The family are looking for a nanny who is fun and interactive with the kiddos. The mom is stay-at-home and dad works full time. Mom is looking to have the type of nanny who is like having another mom in the house, who can support the weekly schedule changes and assist where needed. Someone mom can confide in if she’s having a hard day. The family just had the arrival of their new newborn and mom would like to spend the year focusing on the new baby while the nanny assists with the other kiddos.
The parents are kind, great communicators, thoughtful, and looking for their nanny to be a team member not just an employee. They would love their nanny to be part of the family for years to come and someone their kiddos (and mom) can call a friend.
The general day-to-day will be assisting in the morning with breakfast, then taking one of the children to school at 9am. The nanny will check in daily with mom on what she would like to accomplish for the week or if she just needs a break (perhaps the nanny sends mom to the gym while nanny takes the kiddos to the park, etc.) then helping manage naps, lunch and activities. This position is for a nanny who thrives on teamwork and a holistic approach to the household; someone who loves working with moms as much as the kiddos. The mom is hoping this could be a very long working relationship together!
Pets: No pets are in the home.
