Our Manufacturing Assembly/Utility folks take pride in what they do, and the products that we create. From preparing products for shipping * to inspection for quality *to assembling our life-changing rehabilitation furniture, our team brings our products to life.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Prepare products for shipping by ensuring they are wrapped/boxed/crated/strapped as necessary for safe shipping.
- Put the final touch on the shipments by attaching the correct shipping labels before they go out to the door.
- Perform assembly of products and inspect them for quality, checking for accuracy with each customer order, (assigned serial numbers, properly affixed labeling, complete inspection paperwork).
- Everything in its place! Work with your team to move the completed jobs to the proper areas for shipping or storage as instructed and wrap up your shift by taking pride in leaving a clean work space behind.
Additional tasks:
- Maintain assigned machinery & tools, keeping them in good, clean working order, to carry out tasks and work as assigned by supervisors.
- Keep in touch! Make sure to keep the Section Foreman/Supervisor informed of the status of assigned jobs.
- Safety First - have good attendance, good communication, ensure a safe environment for you and your team.
- Be flexible - be willing and able to work overtime as necessary.
MUST be:
- Able to read, understand and complete all required daily paperwork.
- Able to communicate effectively with superiors & peers.
- Able to follow directions/instructions.
- Able tosafelyoperate machinery and hand tools - including pneumatic & electric drills, screw drivers & staplers, scissor lifts, chop saw, drill press, band saw, strapper, utility knife and normal hand tools including ruler/tape measurer.
- Able to spend your shift on your feet, bending, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
