Birgo is a mission-driven company looking for a Regional Property Manager to lead and manage six property managers and ~1,700 units, ensuring excellent service and budget adherence. Core Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the region’s property management, leasing, and maintenance staff
• Stewards full authority for personnel decisions regarding team makeup, hiring, performance management, and compensation for direct reports.
• Set the bar for performance and train property managers to meet goals for occupancy, tenant experience and retention, collections, and net operating income
• Coach property managers to identify issues and implement solutions at underperforming properties
• Provide temporary direct support and/or coordinate direct support to properties as needed due to staff leaves, vacations, and transitions
• Collaborate with Acquisitions to smoothly underwrite and onboard new properties
• Collaborate with Asset Management to create operational plans and manage execution of lender requirements
• Identify and lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve systems and processes, including but not limited to technology and outsourcing solutions

Education & Experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of property management concepts and budgeting processes
• 10 years of experience in property management and leasing
• 3 years of experience in achieving outcomes through managing and directing the work of others
• Majority of experience in workforce housing and/or scattered site (preferred)
• Experience with Section 8 housing (preferred)
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Experience developing property management software workflows and associated business processes
• Experience with AppFolio or other property management systems

Other Requirements

• Reliable personal transportation for visiting and inspecting properties that are spread over a geographic region
• Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse an uneven terrain to access all areas of the properties
• Able to use a computer for a full workday
• Able to travel frequently, both locally and overnight
