Responsibilities:
- Create master schedule to establish sequences and lead times to ensure shipping dates are met
- Analyze production specifications and determine material allocations, mfg processes, tools and human resources
- Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation
- Plan sequence of work for various manufacturing operations to guide production workers
- Confer with departmental managers and supervisors to determine status of work orders and projects
- Expedite operations and alter schedules as necessary
- Allocate materials and prepare production reports, work orders, and job jackets with routers
- Prepare and enter PO requests to Purchasing Department
- Enter engineering change requests into system
Requirements:
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations, general business and supervisory practices
- 1-2 years' related experience, two-year college or technical school desired
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems including developing alternative solutions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong figure aptitude and ability to perform basic math computations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Effective at writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, AND ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and clients.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
