Food Expeditor

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team. As an Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of food orders from the kitchen to the customers. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties:
- Coordinate and communicate with the kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Review and double-check orders for accuracy and completeness before they are served
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes according to established standards
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to prioritize orders during busy periods
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area when needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset
