Location

This role can work remotely from anywhere in the USA. You must be legally authorized to work in the US.  Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship. Some travel may be required to the Washington DC metro area.

What will you do?

In this role, the successful candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for Department of Justice (DOJ) federal staff and consultants while serving as backup to the Project Director. The Project Manager will train new staff on process and procedures of the contract and how to use the NIJ Consultant Information System (CIS). Upon regularly monitoring the CIS for new Technical Direction Letters (TDLs), the Project Manager will distribute notifications to relevant parties and assign appropriately to task leads, program specialists or meeting planners. With the Project Director, the Project Manager will also monitor schedules and generate monthly customized reports for review by DOJ clients.

Important note

This is a full-time proposal position contingent on contract award.

• Defines project objectives and strategic direction.
• Assist project director with task management and operations activities, responsible for providing leadership and communicates with project teams and serves as a key facilitator between multiple teams to achieve objectives of complex efforts.
• Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations as part of a team or under supervision of senior personnel.
• May assist with presentations, task planning, resource coordination, and/or budget development.
• May supervise junior staff. 
• Participate in client events and forums to positively represent the organization and develop and maintain relationships with the industry.  
• As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition by supporting business development initiatives to enhance and grow Bixal's business in each of the areas that it works. 

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Four years of experience leading teams. 
• Ability to undergo a background investigation by the U.S. Government and meet eligibility requirements for suitability.
• Provide support on-site as needed in DC metro area.
