Description:
We are looking for the right Data Privacy
Engineer to help us ensure we are storing and sharing the data needed to run companies business operation securely, and in accordance with statutory
regulations. In this role, you will be part of the core Business
Intelligence and Data Visualization (BI/Analytics) platform engineering team.
You will be a core contributor in our Foundational Platform team, contributing
to data security projects around our cloud services and applications, and on-premises
solutions. You will be responsible for supporting projects driven by the
organizations data privacy architects, and platform and analytics development engineering
teams. This role is highly cross-functional, and you will work very closely
with various highly skilled platform and software development teams.
Responsibilities
include:
· Assess data privacy needs across
Nike’s Business Intelligence and Data Visualization (BI/Analytics) platforms and
collaborate with stakeholders to develop privacy approaches and privacy
engineering for business and technology
· Develop BI/Analytics privacy
strategies that align with our Privacy Program goals and statutory
requirements
· Use existing privacy and
cybersecurity policies to identify areas for improvement across the BI/Analytic
Platforms
· Develop BI/Analytics privacy procedures
and guidelines for implementation
· Conduct analysis and document of current
state of data privacy across the BI/Analytics platforms recommend and implement
improvements and alternatives in response to organizations data privacy goals
· Analyze and document Cyber Security threats
and possible vulnerabilities across the BI/Analytics and recommend and/or
implement mitigation.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science in computer science,
mathematics, or Business Administration degree.
· 3-5 years of experience working with
BI/Analytics platforms and applications.
· Knowledge of privacy laws and guidance
that apply to commercial organizations
· At least 1 years of experience working
with privacy issues (as a primary duty)
· Experience interpreting privacy laws
and guidance for implementation for a commercial organization
· Privacy certifications, CIPP/US,
CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM preferred
· Experience writing privacy procedures
and guidelines.
· Experience doing presentations for
customers/sponsors
· Ability to work with minimal
supervision but also willingness to work closely with teams that are not
co-located
· Ability to change direction quickly in
a fluid environment
· Some cybersecurity
background/experience
· Some systems infrastructure and cloud-based
computing background and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of information assurance
principles and their application
· Detailed understanding and knowledge
of privacy laws and guidance that apply to commercial organizations
· Basic knowledge of US privacy laws
that apply to private industry and international privacy laws and concepts
· Understanding of privacy engineering
concepts and principles
· Strong writing and briefing skills
· Knowledge of enterprise and network
security concepts and solutions
· Ability to work with others to solve
challenging technical problems
· Ability to build relationships with platform
engineers, Analytics Content Developers and Analytics End-Users
· Excellent communication, writing and
briefing skills
