Job Summary You're known for your well-honed design skills and talent
for leading teams through design projects. You're the glue between design,
engineering, and product. You lead a project from start to finish — solving
design challenges while inspiring others through your work and collaboration.
You're also growing your leadership skills by mentoring other designers. The Team The Service Team creates the digital foundation that powers the client's personalized consumer experiences at scale. We're responsible for the
UX, design, and design system for the company's post-purchase commerce and consumer
service platforms used by our consumers and Consumer Service teammates –
obsessing efficient workflows with data, insights, and automation. As a pivotal
member of this team, you'll report to the Design Director for the client's Digital
Service Team within the organization's Digital Product Design.
Responsibilities
Thinking big, innovating, and driving execution across
Digital Commerce and Consumer Service Platforms towards the future
vision of a holistic, connected ecosystem of capabilities for internal
Consumer Service teammates.
Designing incredibly polished work representing the brand and product experience through visual comps, wireframes, flows, and
prototypes.
Working closely and collaboratively with a cross-functional
team of producers, product managers, project managers, engineers, researchers,
and fellow designers to discover and understand the business, feature, and user
requirements that translate into thoughtful design executions.
Inspiring new ways of thinking and exploring the unknown
using fresh approaches to design problems while applying your knowledge of
standard methodologies and user-centered design principles to build simple,
beautiful, and seamless workflows.
Developing design solutions using participatory and
iterative techniques, including user interviews, observation, usability
testing, validation, and design thinking brainstorms and workshops.
Rapidly iterating and refining design concepts-from
initial briefing through final delivery.
Establishing a new, scalable vocabulary of components and
paradigms for the client's internal capabilities — tied to the organization's design system.
Mentoring and providing helpful feedback to fellow
designers and interns to uplevel their craft and skills.
Evangelize the brand and drive initiatives that
internally strengthen design culture.
Qualifications
8 years of validated experience with end-to-end digital
product design with experience in visual and UX
A bachelor's degree in design, UX/UI design, human-computer
interaction, or related field is preferred but not required
Experience designing technology solutions that power
consumer touchpoints at scale, such as planning tools, targeted consumer
service tools, and commerce solutions.
Strong understanding of product thinking, interaction
design, data science, experimentation, and execution(specialist in one or more
areas)
Hands-on creative and systems problem solver with strong
UX/UI/IA design expertise
Demonstrated user-centric design approach and
insights-based design process
A robust design process, ability to contribute new
processes or enhancements to cross-functional teams
Experience working with consumer research and data
Impeccable attention to detail
Exceptional time management skills — providing accurate
estimations and often helping the team deliver early.
Ability to influence or create design patterns or standards
that are adopted by other teams
Highly proficient with design and prototyping tools such as
Figma, FigJam, Sketch, Adobe CC, Principle, etc.
Ability to communicate a vision for the work in a way
others can relate to and buy into.
Ability to establish a holistic look and feel between all
large project pieces.
Experience launching software at scale in a fast-paced
product organization.
Passion for sports, and for creating
high-quality work.
A fascination with innovation and technology and a solid
understanding of digital tools and trends.
