Vendor Management Specialist

Job Summary
As the CIS Business Operations Vendor Support Specialist, your role on the team will include leveraging your knowledge of industry best practices, communication and problem-solving skills to assist in managing the vendor lifecycle across Corporate Information Security.  Functioning as a hub of communication and tracking for all aspects of vendor performance as well as assuring alignment to overall CIS strategic roadmap.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain information in the vendor management system
  • Document Engineering and Cyber Ops roadmap plans for vendors
  • Support divestiture and on-boarding of new vendor relationships
  • Work with Value Added Resellers to obtain quotes and pricing
  • Coordinating with multiple departments to ensure vendor contracts are reviewed and proper approvals are obtained on all documents
  • Establish meeting cadence, facilitate, and document renewal decision points
  • Drive process adherence, consensus building, and timeline management
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned 
Qualifications
  • Two years of contract or vendor management experience
  • Strong background in vendor metrics and reporting
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of information technology systems and process
  • Experience in vendor setup / on-boarding
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with vendor contracts and service agreements
  • The ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to describe complex situations in simple terms
  • Comfortable with interfacing with other internal partners
  • Ability to balance and prioritize work
  • Resolves problems independently and/or through a support team
  • Must be trustworthy in keeping sensitive data confidential
     
     
    Additional skills and qualifications preferred, but not required
     
    Experience negotiating contracts including price and structure
    Finance or Accounting background
    Knowledge of information security principles and practice
