POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of administrative functions to support the division of Natural Science faculty
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Division Chair and Department Heads with administrative tasks
- Facilitate on-boarding/off-boarding of faculty and staff
- Prepare requisitions and manage orders for faculty
- Know and relate well with personnel in other BJU departments to accomplish requests from this Division
- Assist with maintaining the budget and financial reports for each department
- Communicate effectively with facilities as the Building Representative
- Responsible for daily delivery of paperwork to/from other campus departments
- Schedule appointments and room usage
- Interact with callers by providing information and answering questions
- Generate and document correspondence
- Coordinate Division participation in various campus events
- Assist Division personnel with projects
- Provide support to student lab workers
- Assure workroom and kitchenette spaces are supplied and tidy
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy
- Good people skills
- Good communication skills
- Display a wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Professional in appearance and presentation
- Microsoft Office
