POSITION SUMMARY: Are you passionate about creating educational videos? As a videographer at BJU Press, you’ll play a crucial role in our production team, handling the video elements of BJU Press projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, video recording, audio recording, editing, and on-location shoots.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates studio equipment and manages various technical aspects of production.
- Captures live video recordings of instructors, primarily in the studio or at other locations.
- Serves as the videographer and editor for special segments.
- Collaborates closely with subject matter experts to produce a polished final product.
- Participates in pre-production tasks such as brainstorming and planning, as well as post-production tasks like video editing, audio mixing, and color correction.
- Handles data entry and file management for video content.
- Supports the Videography Supervisor with various projects and tasks as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Should be proficient in video capture and editing; background in cinema is beneficial, but not necessary
- Extensive experience with recording, audio, and studio time is optimal
- Strong knowledge of video production and related techniques
- General knowledge of professional video equipment and software
- Able to multi-task
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)
- Photoshop
- Adobe Audition (preferred)
- AVID Media Composer (preferred)
- DaVinci Resolve (preferred)
