You will plan and execute reliability, safety, quality, and test engineering elements per the Milestone process for assigned New Product development projects across riding product portfolios for the Outdoor Products and Equipment Division. These tasks include warranty failure analysis, reliability and warranty modeling & prediction, life data analysis, test qualification program development, safety reviews, quality assurance planning, statistical studies, design of experiments and failure mode & effects analysis, among others. Leads & Drives the engineering development teams against committed Reliability/Quality Performance Customer Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) metrics to ensure a successful product launch against committed warranty and product life specifications. You’ll get to: Develop test plans to qualify assigned Productivity/Warranty Projects in terms of Resident Engineering Support working with resident/ productivity teams to ensure ongoing product quality of mature products. Maintain appropriate project & milestone documentation such as test plans, reliability models, test status reports, FRACAS, and drives DFMEAs early in the design phase to optimize design & mitigate risk during the development process. Break down complex, multi-SA, high-level products into subsystems to fully understand and qualify each subsystem in addition to the entire product. Correctly applies the reliability/quality science to ensure new product quality goals are achieved irrespective of schedule pressures & cost. Lead safety reviews during the milestone process to ensure the product meets safety and compliance requirements. Represent the Voice of the Customer in all quality-related product development activities and respond to market complaints from customers or trading standards. Demonstrate successful timely performance with attention to detail while managing multiple projects. Work effectively with minimal supervision and maintains good working relationship with internal and external teams & customers. You also have: Bachelor's degree in EE or ME Engineering discipline Experience and familiarity with gas products/riding mower/riding products very much preferred Ability to break down large, complex systems into smaller subsystems for the most efficient testing qualifications. Time management and multi-tasking skills- Management of reliability deliverables of multiple projects Initiative- This is a self-driving role that requires the ability to proactively investigate failures of products, and management of root cause analysis to ensure the quality of products delivered. Communication- Be able to clearly convey analyses of root causes of failures, warranty improvements, and predictions. Critical and Applied Thinking – Must be able to deep dive into project investigation. Always go the extra step to find out more information about why project decisions were made. Preferred training in the use of Six Sigma tools and techniques (i.e., Six Sigma Green Belt) such as design of experiments (DOE), statistical process control (SPC), analysis of variance (ANOVA) and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R).
