Who we are looking for:
OBS is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated, detail oriented professional to join our growing team as a Product Manager. As a key member of the team, this individual will lead and define the product vision, and being responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for their products, prioritize features to support ongoing delivery and sales/marketing initiatives. Identify potential products and emerging markets; conduct market research; generate product requirements; determine specifications; create product roadmap; conduct competitive assessments and product positioning; craft marketing strategies/campaigns for new product introduction/launch.
What you will be working on:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write market requirements documents that effectively communicate requirements to Technical Product Management, R&D, and other relevant technical teams.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and leverage insights to identify opportunities and define requirements for product differentiation and innovation, while ensuring compliance.
- Act as subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to the GTM, Marketing and Project Implementation teams in promoting and selling core banking products, including development of marketing collateral, sales training materials, customer communication plans, and product positioning strategies.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that the product backlog is clear and actionable, and that the team has the information they need to build high quality products.
- Define and communicate product requirements and specifications to internal and external stakeholders, posing an intimate knowledge of the end-to-end flow and how it integrates with the firm's roadmap.
- Collaborate with leadership to align product strategies with overall business goals and contribute to the organization’s growth and profitability.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with a strong financial technology operating background who has expertise in commercial banking and deep understanding of SaaS business models and market trends that will drive the strategy and success of our core banking products.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in product management within the banking or financial service industry.
- Excellent core banking knowledge within the credit union and community banking sector.
- Understanding cloud solutions, detailed knowledge of core banking features and API’s.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently in a fluid, start-up environment.
- Experience developing core banking products, including a strong understanding of financial and accounting systems and concepts.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies, drive product development initiatives, and bring new core banking products to market successfully.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus but not mandatory
- Strong product management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously within a fast paced, results-oriented environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret market data, identify insights, and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
