Job Summary

To provide project and administrative support for a typically smaller office, under general supervision. Responsible for a wide variety of duties and tasks to ensure smooth daily office operations, and is the main liaison between corporate and regional offices for many functions, such as Human Resources and Accounting. Responsibilities are non-routine, requiring frequent independent judgment. Has frequent contact with clients, suppliers, or company employees outside the immediate work area to exchange information.

Key Responsibilities

Roles may vary significantly from office to office, but representative duties include:

  • Takes care of day-to-day office equipment maintenance; coordinates repair
  • Maintains regional and management calendars (office conference room key contact)
  • Acts as liaison for IT and ESH and S activities
  • Orders office supplies
  • Answers phones
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail
  • Completes filing activities
  • Conducts new employee orientation

Minimum Qualifications

Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills needed. Work Environment/Physical Demands

Normal office environment. Extended periods of monitor viewing. Stooping, crouching, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, turning pages, typing and writing. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Work involves sitting for extended periods of time.
