The Opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Participateas technical support on major projects and application rollouts
- Specifyequipment, create design drawings and layouts, and identify appropriate network architectures
- Gather site survey data, interpret, and formulate organized design documents
- Work collaboratively with project management, other engineering groups, external contactors, and the client
- Develop and manage each projects scope, schedule, and budget requirements
- Routinely interact with clients to identify current and future needs and requirements?
- Translate business requirements into technical network design specifications for implementation

BV's Connectivity & Commercial business is dedicated to creating and providing leading solutions to communication infrastructure, mission critical solutions, and commercial enterprise clients. By joining our business, you will have the opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge technology and work with a team that moves quickly with decisions and expectations.Typical engineering solutions this team works with include client network and/or equipment evaluation, network design, site design, site engineering, site surveys, network testing, construction planning and support, construction acceptance, network troubleshooting, migration planning, network commissioning as well as other turn-key network services clients may request. Technologies supported by this team may include TDM (DS0/T1/T3), SONET, Ethernet/IP, Packet Transport, Optical Transport Network (DWDM/OTN), DACS (Digital Cross-Connect System) and others as required by our clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge with CLRs (Circuit Layout Records)
- Experienced in using transport and network tools such as light meters, OTDR, voltage meters, and various other tools.
- Experienced with circuit designing and troubleshooting using CLR.
- Network ticketing system such as Remedy or equivalent
- Creating and publishing professional processes and procedures, including System Requirements, Method of Procedures (MOPs), work packages, Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP), among other related deliverables.
- Experience working in a variety of telecommunication site environments such as electrical substations, transmission/distribution line sites, telecommunication towers and monopoles, and data centers
- Construction management and/or significant field engineering experience
- Experience with site construction permitting and regulating agencies compliance collaboration
- Working with Telecommunications Carriers, General Construction, Electrical and Mechanical contractors
- Experience with NERC-CIP rules, regulations, and sites
- Experienced Telecommunication Network Databasing System such as MetaSolv (TBS)
- Excellent Microsoft skills to include Visio, Word, and Excel, AutoCAD experience.
- Broad knowledge the telecommunications technologies used in utility networks
- Cybersecurity knowledge and experience
Minimum Qualifications

OCA, OCP, CCNA, CCDA, MeteSolv, Zhones Channel Banks, Nokia DMX
Work Environment/Schedule
