Performs design and presentation drafting, plans/designs/furnishes interiors of various building types, and must be familiar with fields, styles, and phases. Responsible for design and presentation drafting on interior design projects, including schematic design tasks and design development. Plans, designs, and furnishes interiors of residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. Formulates designs that are practical, aesthetic, and conducive to the intended.
Provides the design and delivery of a variety of projects. Conducts preliminary site studies. Assesses sites’ potential to meet client specifications and is responsible for project budget management. Works under the direction of the Design Manager and Director of Design. Reports to the Design Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate with Design Manager and Director of Design a team meeting to discuss project direction
- Create and send Design Clarifications per client direction and Blackberry Farm Standards with the help of Junior Designer and Assistant Designer
- Confirm contractor and send Contractor a Team Org Chart of who is working on the project, and receive the same from the contactor—per each project
- Confirm allowances and schedule with contractor and guide projects to be on time and within budget
- Confirm schedule with contractor with Design Manager
- Manage the Junior Designer and Assistant Designer on creating the Deliverables Presentation, Including Finish Document, Door Hardware, Appliances, Plumbing and Cabinet Document, and Furniture Floor Plan until ready to present to the Design Manager and Director of Design for approval.
- Draw Furniture Floor Plans and manage the Junior Designer and Assistant Designer to draw and update furniture floor plans
- Draw and manage the Junior Designer and Assistant Designer to adjust Interior Elevations
- Create schedules including door hardware and lighting, and manage the Junior Designer and Assistant Designer in creating and updating
- Draw Electrical Plans and manage the Interior Designer and Assistant Designer in changes and updates
- Draft Blocking Plans to be entered into CAD by the Interior Designer and Assistant Designer.
- Interiors Presentations
- Create and Manage adjustments with the Junior Designer and Design Assistant for FF&E Budgets
- Track and balance FF&E budgets
- Attend all MEP walkthroughs and other site walks
- Source finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware & accessories and present them to the Design Manager and Director of Design for approval
- Oversee construction and coordinate with general building contractors to implement the plans and specifications for the project
- Ensures regular reviews at key design stages with the Design Manager
- Manages FF&E & sourcing to target budgets and timetables on a daily level
- Assesses and manages prototype stages of bespoke pieces
- Attends regular site visits at key stages
- Coordinate and Manage FF&E install
- Keep all projects up to date in the Monday App.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
3 years of experience in Hospitality and Residential design
Completed Degree in Interior Design
Knowledge of showrooms and resources as well as industry trends
Experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment
Easily adapts to changing priorities and tasks
Is proactive and asks questions
Professional-level software proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus
Professional-level software proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
Professional-level software proficiency in Excel and Outlook
Studio Software, experience not required but must be capable of learning
Monday App, knowledge not needed but must be capable of learning
Must have a solid understanding of MS Office, databases, and information systems
Must be capable of learning new computer software programs quickly
