Camp Manager

Blackberry Mountain is looking to add a creative, energetic, and enthusiastic person to oversee the management and successful operation of the Camp and family programs. This position plays a vital role in impacting the guest experience while providing world-class hospitality. This position oversees the programming and safety of the Camp Blackberry, Youth Blackberry, and Babysitting Programs as well as leading the Camp Blackberry and Babysitter Staff. The Camp Blackberry Manager will oversee the activities and staff in all aspects and ensuring the "camper" experience and guest expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensuring Every Guest Every Time is well cared for and expectations are exceeded
• Manage and direct the operations and development of Camp, Youth, and Babysitting programming at Blackberry Mountain
• Responsible for managing, coaching, scheduling, and oversight of our Camp and Babysitting Teams
• Activity scheduling and maintenance of all activity-based areas within our systems as well as communication and coordination with our other Blackberry Teams including but not limited to BF Camp, F&B, Concierge, Lodging, and Reservations
• Maintain the opera and Resort Suites database of past, present, and future guests
• Support Blackberry Farm Camp team and assist as needed to further support a cohesive team dynamic
• Prepare an evaluation and summary of current seasonal activities and recommendations as well as developing activities for the following season
• Create an atmosphere for developing great morale and well-being at all times for guests and team
• Hire, train, oversee, and schedule for team members
• Order supplies and equipment using the approved purchase order system
• Provide content/edits for camp and family programs to Marketing
• Communicate, implement, and enforce clear, reasonable, and consistent guidelines for all aspects of camp and family programs
• Prepare and adhere to annual budgets
• Meet with direct reports to discuss performance, maintaining company standards, and self-improvement
• Create unique enhancements to the current experience
• Create new as well as enhance our current Youth offerings
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
• Greet campers, parents and guests act as a liaison between the campers' Parents and Blackberry
• Daily communication between all departments
• Coordinating meals with Food and Beverage Departments
• Ability to control young boys and girls without physical contact or force
• Conduct Camp Sessions, Youth Offerings, and Babysitting as required

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in Early Childhood Development, Art Education or related field of study preferred or three years' experience in hospitality/ activities
• CPR Certified and Life Guard Certified
• Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, team members, and the general public

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely
