What are the responsibilities and job description for the DISCLOSURE DESK SPECIALIST position at BLACKHAWK BANK?
JOB SUMMARY:
Reports directly to VP Mortgage Operations or appointed designee. Responsibilities include preparing, and delivering Initial Application Packages, Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures consistent with Disclosure Desk procedure for all documents, ensuring accuracy in documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Will frequently interact with our title company partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Execute job responsibilities consistently with the Core Values.
1-Disclosure Desk- Initial Application
- Monitor daily activity with LOS work queue’s for timely delivery of all disclosures in accordance with Disclosure Desk procedure and regulatory requirements
- Disclose and deliver Initial Application Packages to meet required date requirements Review for accuracy, important dates and required information
- Complete all input screens consistent with bank procedure
- Disclosure and deliver Change of Circumstance disclosures
- Complete of all LOS screens in accordance with bank procedure
2- Disclosure Desk- Closing Disclosure
- Prepare and Deliver all Closing Disclosures in a timely manner consistent with Disclosure Desk procedure and regulatory requirements, communicating with team members and outside vendors for completion
- Prepare and deliver Closing Disclosure to meet all required timing requirement for a successful mortgage closing
- Review all Closing Disclosures for accuracy and completeness of required information
- Track and effectively communicate all important dates to meet required timelines for Closing Disclosures
- Final Reconciliation of wire amount needed to fund the loan
- Approval of Final Closing Disclosure prior to Closing Package preparation
3- Miscellaneous:
- Cross train in specific areas of mortgage operations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintain Appraisal Vendor Management System
- Assist in QC review process
- Attends training and educational classes as scheduled
- Attends company meetings on-site/ off-site, during business hours/after normal work hour
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Position requires a high school diploma. Minimum of 3-years recent banking experience in mortgage lending operations. Must have working knowledge of TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID). Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required. Must be computer literate and detail oriented. High degree of confidentiality required and ability to work with deadlines.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements – This position may exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally. Requires infrequent amounts of standing, bending, walking, carrying, pushing or pulling.
May require infrequent climbing, kneeling or crouching. Frequent and/or constant telephone usage and operation of other standard office equipment are requisite tasks.
Mental Requirements – Performs routine varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, and its application to a variety of situations. Requires sound judgment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
This position consists of inside work 100% of the time. Noise is minimal. Light exposure to dust.
