Overview
The Financial Systems Manager will be responsible for working with the Sr. Manager of Global Settlement Delivery to support a multi-year endeavor consolidating a wide array of existing Accounting and Technical systems and manual processes. This person will work closely with Settlement and Accounting stakeholders to understand constraints, requirements, and prioritization, and will partner with Product and Technology on the grooming and the implementation of those requirements. Ability to effectively organize workload to move multiple projects forward at the same time while keeping communication open cross functionally will be critical for success. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Settlement Delivery.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements gathering meetings, engaging Finance SMEs across diverse roles and platforms, performing detailed analysis and fact gathering in deep dive sessions to define finance, accounting, and settlement requirements in a concise and comprehensive manner
- Partner with Technology Product Owners to document business requirements, process and accounting flows, supporting transition of current state processes to align with new technology platforms and flows
- Provide review and input in detailed user stories; partner with IT and Finance Operations Senior Manager on grooming, prioritization, and implementation of those requirements
- Facilitate CBA and ROI analysis and documentation through collaboration with business stakeholders
- Partner with Accounting, Settlement and technology teams to support requirements definition for non-Settlement/ Accounting sponsored projects such as for Digital/Online, Incentives, Financial Services, and International projects
- Drive definition and review of user acceptance criteria with Finance Operations SMEs and Managers, lead the development of test scripts, ensure defects are identified and handled expeditiously
- Responsible for project task tracking and short-term milestone tracking, provide updates at weekly cross-functional review meetings, including tracking and resolution of issues and defects
- Generate detailed documentation for end-user system interactions, user workflows, and UI specifications
- Facilitate Finance Operations team training and workshops for new tools, processes, and UIs
Qualifications
- Possess a high degree of initiative, organization, self-motivation, and resourcefulness to meet schedules and deadlines
- Strong competency in Excel, Access, Lucid Charts or Visio
- Experience with ERP System, Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpolate results from large amounts of data identifying trends and drawing conclusions
- Demonstrates a growth mindset where continual learning is expected, embraces challenges, and recognizes that setbacks are opportunities to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to describe highly complex concepts and processes in simple terms to both a technical/non-technical audience
