Position:                      Software Development Architect

Duties:                         Automation of unit level, component level, and system level testing. Define and refine metrics used to assess application performance, utilization, and scalability. Lead architectural design of a highly available platform. Lead technical decision making and guide the development team. Develop cutting-edge software and modify existing software to add features. Contribute to the core features, platform, infrastructure, shared across teams. Assist in trade-off analysis to understand the scaling, reliability, and security concerns of different technologies and solutions. Monitor the adherence of the implementation to the chosen architecture during all iterations. Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture specifications. Ensure design and code reviews, analysis of code components, and code coverage of Unit test cases. Contribute to the execution of performance analysis and capacity planning activities.

Education Required:    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Experience Required:  5 years of progressive experience as Solution Architect, Software Engineer, or related occupation

Special Requirements:    Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:

1.       Developing enterprise-wide API, REST, and SOAP interfaces using at least five of the following: Java, Spring Boot, cloud infrastructure, Hibernate, JavaScript, Postgres, No-SQL Technologies (Cassandra or DynamoDB), Test driven Development, Designed AWS cloud environment applications, and/or Event driven architecture.

2.       Leading and driving teams to achieve function and system requirements.

3.       Large scale systems constructed with Java-language components including JEE and JSE APIs.

4.       Applying design patterns, frameworks, and open-source components across the entire architecture stack from database to user interface.

5.       Enterprise software system architecture definitions with experience in at least three of the following: System design patterns (C4 design), Service based architecture, Distributed systems, Security Design, and/or Scalability/Performance Design using tools including: Miro, Lucid chart, and Confluence.

6.       Building and deploying applications for code quality and testing frameworks using at least two of the following integration tools: Jenkins, IaC Platforms (Terraform or CloudFormation), and/or CI/CD for zero downtime deployments.

7.       Performing security assessments with at least one of the following: threat modelling, pen testing, or securing applications deployed on cloud environment.

Salary:                        $165,560 to $298,040 per year
