About the role

The Retirement Content Vice President will be a critical member of the Retirement Marketing Group, responsible for content creation across thought leadership, campaigns, events, partnerships, and more. Examples include:

  • Authoring original content and managing production and editorial processes
  • Crafting messaging for RG-owned events, as well as client and partner engagements
  • Managing our thought leadership partnerships, feeding our content pipeline
  • Delivering content for Head of Retirement, including speaking engagements, presentations, and execution of social media strategy
  • Overseeing RG’s content calendar, which spans Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Retirement Solutions
  • Partnering with the Head of Retirement Marketing to evolve content and event strategy to amplify BlackRock’s retirement brand and differentiated insights
  • Partnering with Corporate Communications on press engagements

This high-performing Vice President will collaborate closely within the Retirement Group and with partners across BlackRock to establish a modern content approach for distribution with institutions, advisors and end investors.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A writer and storyteller:  able to articulate key points in a compelling way to connect with an audience
  • Solutions-oriented: adaptable and imaginative when it comes to solving problems or bringing innovative new ideas to the table
  • Collaborative:  a partner to RG Commercial Strategy, Retirement Solutions, and Comms in developing a culture of co-creation but with defined and specific accountability
  • Forward-thinking:  always looking to learn about the next new thing, and willing to roll up your sleeves and dive in to experiment with innovative new ideas.

Key criteria:

  • 4 years of relevant experience in strategic content creation and management. Must have proven success at driving content strategy.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • The ability to interface directly with senior leaders and internal and external partners
  • Deep expertise in US Retirement markets and finance
  • Ability to work in an organized way in a high-energy, dynamic environment


 

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $133,000 - $170,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
