What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Medical Director position at Blackstone Valley Comm?
SUMMARY
The Associate Medical Director is a Clinician who works as part of the care team to provide comprehensive medical services as defined by Board granted clinical privileges. The Associate Medical Director will take on a leadership role within the clinic and his/her pod and act as mentor to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, as well as a supportive leader role for all other clinic support staff within the pods. The Associate Medical Director will help all members of the clinical team understand and implement the Care Model and any new workflows in conjunction and collaboration with CMO and other Leadership members. Additionally, the Associate Medical Director will act as part of the Chief Medical Officer's clinical leadership team and be responsible for assigned administrative duties as delegated.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
MD/DO/APRN degree from accredited institution
Licensed to practice in the State of Rhode Island
Board eligible or certified in specialty
Experience practicing in a community health clinic
Proficiency in electronic medical records, Nextgen preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish, Portuguese or Creole speaking abilities preferred
Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse patient and staff population
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of computers and medical records required
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
