Job Summary:
Responsible, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, for nursing care to patients within an assigned unit.
Is knowledgeable of patients’ conditions at all times and supervises nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards and administrative policies.
Is able to recognize and interpret symptoms, report on patients’ conditions, and assist with or institute remedial measures for adverse developments.
Assists physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic measures through nursing assessment and administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Must have a current RN license for Massachusetts.
- TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Will receive in-service training in special areas.
