We have an immediate need for a Regional Director of Health & Wellness.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Responsible for supporting the Directors of Wellness in several communities at one time to include hiring, training, group trainings, and on-boarding of key team members, scheduling and leadership skill development for each community wellness department requested to support.
Will travel regularly in order to be on-site and in-person support for the Directors of Wellness. This position may also require weekends.
Will efficiently utilize the community resources for travel decisions and accommodations with the expectation being that the community guest suite will be utilized for each trip. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as they relate to the wellness department, risk management and resident care.
Promotes a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents, co-workers, families and guests. Models effective communication with other team members and residents.
Assists in the welcome, assessment(s) and orientation of new residents. Performs re-assessments as delegated by the Regional Director of Operations.
Responds to state requests for information within the state required time frames. Immediately notifies the Director of Wellness and/or the Executive Director regarding any federal, state or local agency request(s) for information.
Provides organizational structure and ensures effective and efficient daily operations to assigned communities.
Accomplishes duties observing all appropriate safety practices and policies. Models professionalism and compassion for other team members and guests.
Delegates authority and tasks to qualified staff according to state law and regulations.
Ensures clinical files are maintained according to state regulations and company policy.
Maintains company reporting process .
Must be knowledgeable and ensure hands on practical skills within all of the Wellness and BMG Cares departments. Wellness, Memory Care, Compliance, Training and Activity Departments.
Conduct regular follow up calls to new or tenured Director of Wellness to ensure continuity of training and ongoing support .
Maintain regular one on one calls with Regional Directors of Operations.
Ensure all required reporting is accurate and timely.
Utilizes wellness department systems to review lab results, document resident care and monitor resident health status. Ensures that current medical information is promptly communicated to other team members. Ensures that all wellness employees are actively and effectively participating in shift change meetings, case conferences and care updates.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from accredited nursing college or university
Licensed Registered Nurse, preferred
CPR, First Aid
Must be flexible and prepared to assist various communities
Must also possess a valid driver's license. Traveling is required.
Must have proven clinical and leadership expertise. Minimum three years' experience in Assisted Living, Alzheimer's or Memory Care or other applicable experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong personnel skills, and positive community relations skills are essential.
Experience in Residential Care Management, State Rules and Regulations, and Risk Management.
