Wave Coordinator
Summary:

As a Wave Coordinator, you will shape the way that Bleckmann supports their customers and employees. To ensure that we are providing the best possible customer service you will be responsible for allocating orders, releasing work to the warehouse floor, balancing workflow and ensuring that inbound and outbound are accurate. Your leadership will drive the success of our relationship with customers, and the efficiency of the operations. Overview Primary Job Functions
- Process operational data in warehouse management systems and applications, identify missing or potential operational or service concerns, and resolve with the appropriate groups. Utilize databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify information; information is usually complex.
- Run, analyze and summarize operational reports and details; present information to co-workers or supervisors as needed.
· Formulate, direct and coordinate operations activities and processes to promote compliance with customers SLA and customer satisfaction.
· Use warehouse management system and strategic planning to ensure that forecasts are being met, and that there is adequate KPIs in place.
- Release work to the work queue in a manner that ensures maximum levels of interleaving, productivity, and carrier turn times.
- Review/update base priorities weekly to reduce manual priority changes in the work queue
- researching discrepancies and collaborating with the appropriate areas to understand the priorities and the workflow.
- Monitors exceptions that prevent waves from releasing and/or from fully completing
People Management:
- Provides on-going training and orientations for team to ensure compliance with Company requirements and policies.
- Maintain an environment of development and recognition.
- Coordinate scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive and distribute products/materials at the facility in a productive and cost-effective manner. Monitor attendance, tardiness, etc. that impact productivity.
- Demonstrate inspirational leadership.
- Aid or coverage in other departments, cross-functional in multiple customers.
- Provide data to operational team on performance metrics.
- Assist in solution providing for quality assurance.
Safety, Sanitation and Security
- Promotes and maintains safety awareness programs. Attends safety meetings; ensures all required safety measures are in place; and that the facility follows all federal and state regulations.
- Ensures all subordinates meet and follow safety training requirements.
- Follows rigid housekeeping and sanitation policies/practices by applying the 5S Lean methodology to sustain a safe, clean and orderly facility.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5-8 years proven experience in a high-volume distribution environment preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management and operations
- Ability to train and enforce company safety programs as it relates to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Computer P/C and software knowledge
- Solid command of English, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse workforce.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Some college coursework preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Spanish speaking a plus.
