Position Summary
Assists in the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities and vehicles; minimize unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment efficiency and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Assists in the implementation of the facility's preventative maintenance program
· Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the work area
· Assists in equipment performance testing per established guidelines
· Assist in performing corrective actions when out-of-specification conditions are encountered
· Analyzes and troubleshoots equipment, facilities and vehicles
· Records and documents all completed maintenance, modifications and repairs
· Runs errands and picks up equipment, materials and supplies as required
· Promptly reports observed equipment, facility and vehicle repair or maintenance needs to supervisor
· Assists in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools and replacement parts
· Complete all other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or equivalent educational document (GED) required
· 2-3 years' experience of working in food processing preferred
LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to read, write, and speak English with minimal assistance from an interpreter
· This position requires strong math skills. Employee must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
COMPUTER SKILLS
· Must have ability to use a personal computer. Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software for department reporting and record keeping.

Physical Demands

· Plant audits and inspections may require lifting of products up to 30 pounds. Inspection often requires work in a production environment including work on a moving line, lifting cartons, and visual inspection. Corrected vision required for sensory analysis to identify color, clarity. Warehouse and plant audits also require close and distance vision to judge GMP’s; peripheral vision and depth perception mandatory for safety.
Work Environment
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
· Plant audits/inspections result in exposure to both moderate/loud noises and fumes and mechanical hazards.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Hours/Schedule
· Regular – describe the regular/normal work hours and days assigned

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
