BHCS has been in operation since 2015 to help local shelters and rescues with cats who are deemed "unadoptable" and at risk. We currently care for 40 cats with different physical and behavioral needs. Our sanctuary is nestled amongst old trees with a large deck and protected enclosure for the cats to safely enjoy and lots of birds and wildlife to watch. Job Summary

Blind Hope Cat Sanctuary is seeking part-time cat caretaker at our sanctuary in Rogers. Schedule is 7am to 10am (3 hours/day), 5 days a week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Feed and medicate the cats
• Wash dishes, wipe down countertops and walls
• Scoop and wipe down litter boxes
• Replace soiled pee pads and bedding
• Sweep and mop
• Monitor cats' well being and report any issues

Required Skills:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have solid animal care skills in a vet’s office or shelter
• Must be dependable, punctual and be able to work independently
• Can successfully administer pills, SQ fluids, SQ/IM injections, eye drops
• Possess a strong attention to detail
• Can react quickly to cat altercations and emergencies
• Able to work around tight spaces, bending, kneeling
• Able to lift 40 lbs. max
• Have reliable transportation
• Candidate must live in the Rogers, AR area. Candidates outside of Benton County will not be considered.

7:00-10:00am schedule is firm. Additional hours may be available.

30 day probationary period. We are a smoke/vape-free facility.

To succeed in this position, you must be a cleaning fanatic and have pride in your work knowing it is directly impacting the quality of life for the cats. Keeping the cats’ environment clean is essential to keeping them healthy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.35 - $15.32 per hour
