What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cultivation Manager position at Bloom Network?
We are currently seeking a Cultivation Manager to oversee operations in our cannabis farm and greenhouse facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in outdoor farm & greenhouse cannabis cultivation & management, their Pesticide Applicator's License (PAL) as well as mechanical knowledge and basic math skills. The schedule for this position is 7:30 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday, with some required weekends. Their is heavy lifting involved.
Experience:
- Previous experience in farm, garden, or landscape management required
- Knowledge of greenhouse operations and practices
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repairs
- Basic math skills for inventory management and data analysis
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
_ Pesticide Applicator's License and previous pest management experience
- Basic computer skills, MS Office.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Spanish helpful.
- REASONING ABILITY: High levels of problem solving & observation. Must be able to reason through problems as they relate to the job.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: MUST have a Pesticide Applicator License.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Schedule, organize and complete the everyday tasks of the farm.
This includes overseeing proper irrigation and the timely and correct use of fertilizers and chemicals on a daily basis.
Assist with implementing training programs on everyday greenhouse duties like proper container filling, irrigation, transplanting, chemical applications and pest scouting.
Monitor crops in all stages in order to provide quality plant material.
Organize, observe, and document culture trials of new and existing cultivars in conjunction with breeders, research staff and marketing to generate proper culture sheet data.
Help monitor and control the greenhouse environment, fertilizer and acid injectors, using greenhouse environment control computers.
Assist with keeping proper chemical use records as required by federal and state law and the necessary training of co-workers applying pesticides and the field worker training.
Maintain high safety standards.
