Accountant

```Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support decision-making processes
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and accrual accounting principles
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft) and MS Excel
- Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance is a plus
- Experience working with private equity firms is desirable
