Job Description:
Assists in all aspects of business development records, preparation of requests for proposal and writing brochures, press releases and other marketing/public relations materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and prepare (in conjunction with the Director of Marketing) statements of interest/qualification, proposals, design awards submissions, collateral, presentations, materials, miscellaneous marketing and sales-oriented correspondence.
Draft copy for specific promotions and general collateral, as well as contribute to Web content.
Manage activities of specialized consultants, such as photographers and graphic design firms.
Develop/maintain marketing information systems (electronic/hard copy).
Work with teams to identify opportunities to cross-promote materials.
Provide data maintenance and support, create and maintain tracking reports, and help produce final copy for website.
Organizes and prepares proposals for input related to fees, cost data, and production techniques.
Develop and maintain marketing development prospect files; initiate contacts of prospects on an as-needed basis through the direction of the Director of Marketing.
Develops brochures, write biographies and generally provide materials.
Edit all written promotional materials to maintain high quality of communication. Coordinate the company’s submissions for design competitions. Maintain updated information on all staff members for purposes of writing resumes/biographies.
Write and issue press releases on new employees, new projects and other activities/events.
Coordinate media submissions for industry rankings.
Write/edit text for firm promotional pieces.
Maintain and update master contact listing.
Maintain archive of firm-related articles and activities.
Skills:
Has excellent research, writing, editing, graphic, and computer skills including Adobe Quark, Photoshop, In Design, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Should have strong analytical skills.
Be able to manage multiple projects, and be a self-starter.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or technical field; or 3 to 6 years of experience is preferred; with experience in A/E/C marketing.
