IT Intern

As an IT Intern at Building and Land Technology “BLT”, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless IT operations for our diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties.

Job Responsibilities of the IT Intern:

• Provide Onsite and Remote IT Support:
  • Offer technical support to staff members, both onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware and software.
• Problem Analysis and Solution Proposals:
  • Analyze information to identify current and potential IT problems.
  • Propose effective and efficient solutions to enhance overall system performance.
• Helpdesk Management:
  • Manage the helpdesk ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues.
  • Follow up with IT team members on assigned helpdesk tasks to guarantee completion.
• IT Inventory Management:
  • Maintain and manage the inventory of IT assets, including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, docking stations, etc.
• Assist with IT Projects:
  • Collaborate with the IT team on various projects, providing support and assistance as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements of the IT Intern:

• Education:
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Security.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of computers, cloud computing, and networks.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, MAC OS, and mobile devices (Apple and Android).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Applications.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our diverse portfolio of clients, partners, and internal staff.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Ability to work efficiently, expedite tasks in a timely manner, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. This role will require travel to different locations across the portfol
• Hardware and Software Proficiency:
  • Knowledge of HP, DELL, Lenovo, Canon, Fujitsu (computers, printers, copiers, scanners, docking stations, etc.).
  • Familiarity with audio-visual (AV) systems, web conferencing tools (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.), and security systems (cameras, network video recorder, building access control system).
