Job Overview:
The food expeditor ensures that all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer specifications. An expeditor also finalizes the presentation of the plate and may test the temperature of the food. To keep orders flowing from the kitchen to the diners, an expediter directs kitchen runners and wait staff who are delivering completed orders. Final accountability for food presentation and order accuracy belongs to the expediter.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manage many orders simultaneously assuring correct dishes are sent to correct tables
· Assure all foods leave kitchen exactly as specified on order
· Maintain flow of line and avoid back-ups and food sitting for extended periods of time
· Control profit by limiting waste
· Follow all Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy
· Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
· Maintain portion control and preparation quantities to minimize waste
Physical Requirements of the Position:
· Withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater for periods of 30 minutes or more.
· Must be able to walk and stand for periods up to 5 hours
· Move 50 lbs. distances of up to 100 ft.
· Understand and respond to employee and guest verbal requests and visual cues in a loud and extremely busy environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
