WHO'S IN THE KITCHEN
We’re looking for a Sanitation Supervisor to help shepherd and build continuous improvement for our facilities food safety programs. This position will require someone who has good attention to detail and has a strong sense of urgency and leadership when it comes to responding to risk involving food. This position will mainly focus on overseeing sanitation initiatives through-out the facility, which includes but not limited to enforcing and overseeing Good Manufacturing Practices, Master Sanitation Schedule, Environmental Microbiology program, and Pest Control Programs.
The Sanitation Supervisor will oversee a sanitation team comprised of Team Leads and full-time associates in our Fulfillment Center. As a Supervisor, all associates on your team will report directly to you. You’ll be responsible for holding associates accountable to all department processes and procedures, at all times.
WHAT'S ON THE MENU
- Manages sanitation functions on a daily basis
- Manages the master sanitation schedule used by the sanitation crew
- Manages non routine sanitation functions in cooperation with the Food Safety manager.
- Completes daily post sanitation inspections to ensure all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for production
- Works closely with Food Safety to ensure adequate conditions to produce safe products
- Works closely with sanitation chemical supplier as it relates to SSOP’s, cleaning chemicals, and equipment inspections
- Works closely (in conjunction with Food Safety) with regulator inspectors such as FDA and Local Health Department as it relates to plant audits and inspections
- Ensures all GMP’s, Food Safety, Personal Safety, and company policies are adhered to
- Provides direction to direct reports as it relates to sanitation
- Provides initial and ongoing training for direct reports as it relates to sanitation
NECESSARY INGREDIENTS
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must possess strong leadership skills
- Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Must possess excellent skills in food plant sanitation and the ability to train others in food plant sanitation
- Ability to effectively address non conformances in policy, procedure, and regulatory as it relates to sanitation
- Excellent decision making skills
Requirements
- Position will require person to work in a cold environment
- Position will require person to work with common sanitation chemicals such as acids, caustics, and chlorines
- Position will require climbing ladders
- Position will be required to work late afternoon/night hours
- Individual will be on their feet the majority of the workday
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Position may require individual to enter confined spaces
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,500.00 - $80,000.00 per year
