We are pleased to share that we have a career opportunity for a Systems Administrator as a member of the Blue Bird Information Systems Team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT Infrastructure, this role is responsible for managing the organization’s computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure they operate efficiently and securely.  Your duties will include installing antivirus or malware protection software, responding to employee concerns or drafting documents to help employees use computer systems and coordinating with company leadership to determine new technologies that could enhance their company’s computer systems.  In this position, you will be an integral part of an IT team supporting and administering Blue Bird systems working closely with the Managers, Administrators and Technicians on the IT team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining Information Technology Systems including:
  • Client/Server Backups and File Recovery
  • Cloud Storage
  • Data Center Administration
  • Database Administration, Microsoft SQL
  • 2FA and Identity Administration
  • Linux RedHat Server Administration, AIX Administration
  • Server, Storage, Hyperconverged Technology
  • VMWare Administration
  • Clusters, Failover, Redundancy, Witness Server, Disaster Recovery

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Additional Functions include:
  • Network Administration
  • Circuit Management, VLAN, DNS, DHCP
  • Web Filtering, Spam and Virus Firewall
  • Firewalls, Routers, Switches
  • Telecommunications, e-Fax, Mobile Devices
  • Unified Communications, VoIP/Softphones
  • Video Conferencing, Digital Signage
  • Collaboration and Communication Platforms
  • Badge Access System Administration and Support
  • Video Surveillance, IP Camera Administration, Service and Support

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Experience working with Windows Clients/Servers and Network Administration
• Windows Administration and Maintenance skills and proficiency with Active Directory/Group Policy, Exchange and SCCM
• Strong Support in Windows client operating systems and Microsoft Office and M365 applications
• Must be articulate and able to effectively communicate with both internal and external (non-technical) clientele

 EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:

• College diploma or university degree in the field of cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, computer engineering, and / or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of experience as an IT Technician working with Windows Enterprise and IT Systems
