Summary: Provide customers with exceptional financial support and advice while providing quality service. Conducts all Retail financial transactions, cross-sells bank products and services with the goal of deepening relationships. Is professional, knowledgeable, and capable of working face to face with customers handling complex financial situations for customers. Is technologically savvy as it relates to Bank services. Displays a commitment to the community and to meeting the Bank’s objectives. Has increased operational responsibility and lobby support, including opening/closing branch and core system supervisor override authority.
Minimum Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years banking or retail experience with an emphasis on sales and customer service or;
• College degree and a minimum of 2 years banking or retail experience with an emphasis on sales and customer service.
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills, customer service and sales skills.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various branch locations as staffing requires, for unspecified periods.
• Must have the ability to work independently
Specific Job Functions:
• Consistently provide quality customer service by demonstrating our service/sales relationship building behaviors
• Ability to evaluate and identify financial needs and present appropriate products/services to meet these needs.
• Opens new accounts and related products/services; debit card, direct deposit, etc.
• Processes all financial transactions; cash/check deposits, withdrawals, etc.
• Participate in branch activities planned by Branch Management.
• Practice behaviors that are focused on achieving individual and team goals.
• Possess the ability to identify customers’ financial needs and cross-sell bank products and services to meet those needs. Advise customers on promotional products and services.
• Perform all teller related duties, including managing a cash drawer.
• Perform all activities related to the processing of various types of accounts and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
• Participates in business development efforts as assigned
• Is able to competently and confidently teach self-service options to customers
• Perform all activities related to the servicing and processing of IRA’s.
• Process incoming mail transactions and night depository deposits as outlined in Policies and Procedures.
• Serves as a point person to answer internal and external inquiries on the topic of bank products and services, transactions, and policies and procedures.
• Involved with daily proof of the ATM, replenish cash using dual controls. Ensure the ATM is in working order and adequate supplies are available for customer use.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information by complying with the Privacy Policy. Comply with established policies and procedures when responding to inquiries and requests.
• Promote the security and safety of all employees and customers by complying with the Security Program.
• Prepare documents for special services such as ACH transactions and wire transfers.
• Remain current and implement all bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy.
• Assist customers with entry to their safe deposit box, ensuring all bank policies and procedures are strictly adhered to in the process.
• Assist branch management and/or conduct monthly audits, certifications, proofs, reconciliations, filing, scanning, and other duties as assigned as outlined in the Policy and Procedures.
• Assumes responsibility to open/close branch independent of other branch management.
• Assumes responsibly to override transactions within established limits basing decisions on Bank policies and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of the bank/branch as assigned.
