Network Engineer

Responsible for engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance and support of data communication connectivity to all customers via VPN IPSEC and maintain CISCO IPS/IDS for corporate environment. Consistently ensure the smooth operation of communication networks to provide maximum performance and availability for all users.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and resolve the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) of Cisco to work smoothly in a completely secured framework.
• Engineer Maintain and support all CISCO corporate and client firewalls.
• Engineer and troubleshoot 100 VPN IPSEC client tunnels.
• Manage and deploy security related technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, access lists, and intrusion detection systems setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Monitor network usage and performance.
• Undertake routine preventative measures for network performance and network security.
• Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
• Working closely with other departments/organizations and with other network staff.
• Planning and implementing future Network developments and undertaking project work.
• Construct and maintain up to date and accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, etc.
• Performs all necessary duties to ensure the safety of information technology assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access.

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree preferred.
• 5 year experience CISCO IPS/IDS, ASA/FTD using FPR devices required.
• Experience with RSA Token configuration and deployment.
• Cisco certificate (CCNA or higher) required.
• Strong firewall troubleshooting experience required.
• Complete understanding of all routing protocols (OSPF, IBGP, EIGRP, etc…)
• Clearly understands the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.
