What are the responsibilities and job description for the Race Staff position at Blue Hills Ski Area?
Assist Race Manager in conducting races by setting the course, maintaining the course, and keeping time.
REPORTS TO: Alpine Race Director
JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that all customers especially racers have a safe experience every day.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist race coaches in setting up and maintaining courses
· Greet and interact with customers effectively to create a positive
experience.
· Maintain proper casual professional appearance (as determined by
management) at all times.
· Be aware of all safety, payroll, and workers comp. policies.
· Be committed to Customer Service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be 16 or older and ski well.
· Must be proficient and professional in interacting with the general
public, face-to-face
· Must be punctual, meticulous, and reliable
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Outside afternoons and evenings
· Fast-paced environment
· Work as a team; follow safety procedures and directions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to work on the hill in all weather conditions
· Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs, while skiing
· Must own and come to work in weather clothes
· Must have reliable skis, boots and related equipment
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.25 per hour
