What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Blue Marble?
Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to help contribute to our goal of inspiring children with educational projects. The Project Manager works with the Product Development team to bring our products to life. This includes working with internal and external teams to coordinate product development, track progress and missing pieces for the project, and ultimately contribute to bringing our finished products to our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize project management tools to track progress of product development through the entire lifecycle.
- Coordinate efforts with other teams, including overseas team members at our manufacturing facility.
- Acquire required materials for the project, ranging from graphics to product samples.
- Ensure that the project is following the designated timeline so the product is ready for launch at the appropriate time.
- Create and manage Bill of Materials for the given product within internal system; make sure all necessary changes are made to the BoM for appropriate costing.
- Communicate the company as a whole regarding the project status, as well as any setbacks or improvements.
- Brainstorm possible improvements to the product, packaging, or materials.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience within project management or closely related position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with larger groups of people.
- Well versed with Office 360, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects at once.
- Ability to problem solve and present creative solutions to problems.
- Strong experience with time management and capable of following schedules.
