As the Business Operations Program Director for New Glenn Upper Stage, you will report to the Vice President of New Glenn GS2PA Stage and will drive all aspects of business operations strategy/execution for the 300 person New Glenn Upper Stage organization. This is the largest and most capable upper stage ever developed and the largest commercial fairing available. Coupled with the reusable first stage, this provides New Glenn customers with outstanding payload launch capabilities. This position will be responsible for working with all characteristics of Business Operations including leading development and execution of monthly business, finance and schedule meetings, leading new scope, proposal and scope change activities, coordinating and implementing all change management, developing and driving all business actions to closure. This role is tightly coordinated with the program office and leadership team and requires strong interpersonal and business insight with a focus on rapid and lean execution. This role will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Own the development and execution of monthly business, finance and schedule meetings working closely with finance, schedule, program and leadership team. Lead cost and schedule estimating for new scope as well as proposal activity. Lead program change and implementation to baseline for scope, schedule and budget. Lead and drive all program targets to closure Develop content for senior executive reviews and program management reviews in support of business rhythm Coordinate across Finance, Procurement, and Engineering organizations to drive cost/labor management strategies to meet program budget targets and reduce program cost management variance Collaborate across program management office (PMO) and internal program managers to define, implement, and maintain key program metrics/dashboards related to schedule, cost, and performance management Work with procurement and program leadership to drive procurement execution strategies that reduce cost and improve delivery performance Provide inputs into program case model and drive/coordinate pivotal initiatives to improve program case Work with operations strategy to assess/drive production rate increase readiness. Qualifications: MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business/operations or business analytics Highly organized leader with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability of resourcefulness, strong business acuity, and bias for action from previous assignments. Consistent record of success in a matrix-aligned organization including ability to deliver results through others as an individual contributor. Strong experience architecting business analytics dashboards and knowledge of data structures/analysis Comfortable working in a fast paced, multifaceted work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer, and supplier activities. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Hands on program management experience handling budget, scope and hardware delivery (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience. Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVM. B.S or M.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or systems engineering and experience with launch vehicle development, production, and operations.
