Blue River Services, Inc. (BRS) is a private not for profit organization founded in 1959 by six families that believed that all people are capable of learning when given the opportunity and appropriate support services. With this guiding philosophy for over 60 years the services we provide have expanded to meet the needs of our community and address barriers to independence for people with and without disabilities. BRS strives to reach its motto of "People Serving People" by providing exceptional services that cover a wide spectrum; across all ages from infants to seniors, in all areas of life and levels of ability, from most to least restrictive. Our agency currently offers services through 13 departments. BRS provides services in 30 Southern Indiana Counties to more than 20,000 individuals each year. Job Skills / Requirements
Provide supervision and instruction to adults with disabilities in a group home setting : Available Shifts: Sat 11am-9pm; Mon-Thurs2 PM-9 PM. Qualified applicants must possess an accredited high school diploma or equivalent preferred, valid driver’s license. We will train. Examples of duties include assisting with shopping, preparing meals and general housekeeping. Responsible for health and safety of residents. Responsible for the operation of the home during shift. Mento new Life Skill Instructors for the first three months of employments, which would include training on all home and behavioral goals, home routines and paperwork. This would be in addition to training provided by other key starff. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. Call MIchelle for more information at 812-365-2751.
Overtime hours currently available (though not guaranteed).
$350 Sign-on Bonus eligible position. Must be scheduled a minimum of 20 hours week.
