Blue Stone Therapy was founded in 2009 and provides contract physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology to communities in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Our focus is to deliver optimal, individualized rehabilitation by highly skilled professional therapists while developing long-term partnerships between our staff and the communities they serve.
Due to expansion, we are currently seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team at the home office in Urbandale, IA.
The HR Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the Human Resource department.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including clerical support, travel arrangements, expense management, meeting scheduling, compiling reports, supply ordering, and utilizing various office equipment and computer software applications.
- Performs customer service related to HR by answering employee inquiries, requests, and questions.
- Prepares and regularly maintains employee personnel files adhering to record keeping requirements. Ensure accurate employment records are maintained and secured.
- Assists with the administration of Blue Stone Therapy’s benefit program: medical, dental & vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; life insurance; short- and long – term disability; 401K program; wellness program; paid time off, etc.
- Responsible for the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
- Prepares reports generated from a wide variety of systems on a regular basis.
- Assists in maintaining organizational charts and employee directory. Distributes updated copies to appropriate staff.
- Recommends new approaches to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in a human resources role is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
