We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Doctor to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responsibilities:
- Provide medical expertise and insights to support the development and implementation of patient-centric applications and technologies, such as apps for tracking diabetes, mental health, and medication administration.
- Offer the health care provider's perspective for IT applications focused on improving clinical back-office functions, such as patient notes, billing, and other administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IT professionals, health care providers, and other stakeholders, to develop, evaluate, and refine virtual care solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices, guidelines, and emerging trends in the medical field, applying this knowledge to inform the development of innovative solutions.
- Participate in regular meetings and workshops to gather information, share insights, and collaborate with team members.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of virtual care solutions, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements based on medical expertise and patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and policies, including patient privacy and data security requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active medical license and/or accreditation by a body recognized in the United States.
- 3 years of clinical experience within the VA system -OR- 5 years of clinical experience in a non-VA context.
- Strong understanding of health concerns, physical examinations, and vaccinations for common illnesses or allergies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to staying current with emerging trends and best practices in the medical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with telehealth or other virtual care technologies and platforms.
- Familiarity with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcare organizations.
- Knowledge of health information technology and its applications in clinical care and administrative functions.
- Experience with interdisciplinary primary care models, such as VA PACT model.

Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.
Salary range: $200,000 - $240,000
