South Region
ABOUT THE FLOCK
As a member of the Market Access team (at bluebird, it’s Access, Value, and Evidence Strategy, AVES), you will be working alongside some of the most committed, creative, and experienced individuals in the cell and gene therapy industry to break new ground so that patients can access our FDA-approved gene therapies—patients who often have no therapeutic alternatives to battle progressive, debilitating, and life-shortening diseases. We are passionate about the science behind our gene therapies and the tremendous value we believe these one-time administered, potentially curative therapies bring to patients, their families, the healthcare system, and society overall. Everyone on our team has external-facing responsibilities, so we aim to be integrated and data- and evidence-driven to capitalize on the dynamic flow of information and insights across stakeholders (always being sure to maintain the highest standards of compliance). Join us if you too work best in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment!
HOW YOU’LL FLY
You’ll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Serving as the primary market access team point-of-contact with bluebird’s Qualified Treatment Center network in the [insert region], coordinating and aggregating information and aligning engagement strategy such that patients have timely, appropriate access to our FDA approved gene therapies.
- Vetting, helping to on-board, and developing and maintaining core relationships with the business functions at bluebird’s QTCs.
- Working cross-functionally, especially with the QTC account leads, to pull through plans to mitigate and/or remove barriers to care at the consult and treatment phases of the patient journey.
- Working closely with the payer field team to integrate insights and feedback from across market access stakeholders (with a focus on payers and QTCs), especially at the regional level.
- Helping to drive a quantitative, data-based approach to provider access strategy across bluebird’s product portfolio, including accountability for core market access KPIs.
- Maintaining the utmost standards of professionalism and compliance in all internal and external engagements.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:
- 10 years of experience in the biotech/pharma field with a Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a relevant field (specifically finance) preferred
- A track record of success engaging tertiary and quaternary clinical and research institutions and integrated delivery networks on market access issues
- Deep knowledge of U.S. payer markets and the underlying financial dynamics driving payer perspectives and decision making
- Comfort and demonstrated success driving productive discussions with senior QTC leadership
