Housekeeping supervisor

Compensation : $22 - $24 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests to the front office
• Make sure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and schedule repairs as needed
• Manage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas
• Order cleaning supplies as needed, control inventory and manage the department budget
• Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction
• Inspections daily and corrections as needed to maintain standards in the hotel
• Greet guests warmly and politely, using discretion to avoid disturbing guests in rooms or public spaces
• Ability to learn and train on everything in guest rooms (climate control, fireplaces, fans, TVs, lighting, etc) and be able to explain the operation to our guests
• Cross-train for other team positions in accordance with your career goals and any duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Strong understanding of environmental services (EVS) including cleaning processes and how to use a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service
• 2 years of hospitality or guest services experience
• A High school diploma or GED is required
• Over 3 years of experience as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping manager, or similar
• Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
