Purpose

The Vice President of Operations serves as a key member of the Leadership Team, directly supporting the COO. The position oversees the day-to-day operation of an assigned business unit which is geographically, or customer based. The position is tasked with ensuring operational processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the overall strategic goals of Bluegrass Supply Chain. 

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

- Collaborating with other executives to develop and implement strategic plans for the organization.

- Identify areas for operational improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

- Focus on maintaining strong customer relationships through all modes of communication including in-person visits.

- Ensuring that the customer supply chain is efficient, cost effective, and responsive to changes in demand.

- Implementing and monitoring quality control measures to ensure products or services meet the company’s standards and customer expectations.

- Managing the team member experience (TMX) that includes workforce planning and resources allocation.

- Facilitating effective communication and collaboration across different functions.

- Establishes key performance indicators to measure success and efficiency in operations.

- Assess and implement technology solutions that can improve operational efficiency and automation of warehouse processes

- Work in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to all safety rules and practices.

- Represent the company’s core values at all times.

- Other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or an industry-relevant field required.

- Master of Business Administration strongly preferred.

- 10 years’ experience in leading an operations team.

- Hands on experience with WMS systems.

- Expert knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
