Responsibilities
- Major technical design responsibilities in the development of custom electronics units for spacecraft
- Responsible for electrical system design, integration, and test support
- Perform work requiring independent evaluation, selections, or substantial modification of standard techniques and practice
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields from accredited university
- 10 years’ experience in custom electronic circuit design for high-reliability applications
- Knowledge of electrical design practices associated with spaceflight electronics
- Circuit design, schematic capture, and simulation experience
- Understanding of common communications interfaces, including RS232, RS422, RS485, SPI, I2C, LVDS, etc.
- Experience with mixed signal circuit card design, simulation, and layout including devices such amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, digital functions, microprocessors, and regulators
- Experience using common electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers, and function generators
- Experience with design derating and reliability analysis
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields from accredited university
- Experience with high-speed circuit card design, simulation, and layout for high-speed digital circuits including devices such as FPGAs, memory, high-speed communications, and controlled impedance signaling
- Experience with Altium Designer schematic and PCB capture software
- Active DoD security clearance
