SUMMARY:
As Catering & Events Service Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization and execution of all written event sales agreements. This role will work closely with the operations team to ensure that events are delivered safely, efficiently and effectively, while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION(S):
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Plan, Manage and Execute all aspects of the corporate and social events within the Club.
Acts as a liaison between the client and club staff for planning and event execution.
Prepare detailed event orders, diagrams and resumes to be distributed to internal team members after client approval.
Build and maintain close, effective working relationships with customers, vendors and suppliers.
Monitor, record and analyze on activities, trends and new developments between the Club and its clients.
Perform all additional tasks required by the Department Director.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Hospitality, Event Management or related field)
Minimum (3) years of event experience (preferred in hotel or country club)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust in complex situations.
Knowledgeable of all aspects of Club policies, room specifications and menu offerings.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:
45-50 hours or more, per week. Weekdays, weekends and Holidays.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying
This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing.
Should be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
Bending/Kneeling
This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, sitting, and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the day.
